Series: Weldon #2
Author: Jennifer Saints
Publisher: Between Your Sheets Publishing
Well I did like the first one so I wanted to read the second one.
Summary taken from Goodreads.com:
Four years ago a tragedy made Jackson Weldon turn his back on life. He wanted nothing more than doing a gig with his guitar every now and then to put a sandwich on his plate and gas in his tank. But a few dates with Nan Miller several months ago had him finally wanting something more. Her in his bed. Only she walked before that happened and his hunger for her alone has grown until he can't think of anything but her.
Nan has lived her life by a plan and she isn't about to mess it up by getting involved with a man going nowhere. That's why she walked out on Jackson, seventy one days ago. Only, she can't get him out of her mind or escape him in her dreams, night or day. So when he comes riding in on his Harley again, she wonders if she should take him up on his offer for an uninhibited weekend. But their no strings ride leads them both to an end that changes everything they ever believed they wanted or deserved out of life.
Finally!!!!! More of a story line. Finally a little change in things!! We meet Jackson and Nan in this book and Jackson is a man who knows what he wants but his past is holding him back from getting it and I guess the has a pretty good reason. Jackson is a riddle wrapped up in a rubix’s cube. But when he flat out turns down wanting a one nighter and tells Nan he wants more than that…I was sold! Finally I read a romance novel that has a story line, and that has a seriously emotional background story that prevents them from being together.
Nan: although quiet and emotional Nan wants more yes, but not just love she wants her dreams. And she’s a writer. I love what she writes.
Jackson: So messed up, so damaged. So hot. I love how he knows what he wants.
I’m not 100% sure. I found some things just awkward writing.
Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):
Overall I love this story line more than Wild Irish. Jesse and Alexi do make a come back in this novel but of course that is how its meant to be. But I finally got a man who although wanted to commit just couldn’t, but knew that he wanted more. However, there were some awkward parts with regards to the writing, but then there were also some awesome parts.
