Rating:

Reason chosen:

I received an e-mail about the recently released book by Entangled and the synopsis of the short story sounded very promising.

Summary taken from Goodreads:

After falling through the ice one cold day, Kate is saved by a mysterious man named Jack and ends up marrying him. Come to find out she's committed herself to the king of winter himself. Now Kate has cold feet about their life together…and cold everything else.

She doesn't think Jack will miss her if she packs up and runs away to Colorado. After all, she's been in living in sunny Florida for seven years, and he hasn't managed to come see her. But Jack has one last chance of convincing his runaway bride to come back to him, and he won't give up until he breaks through the ice that's frosted her heart.

Review:

This was a short story, so this will probably be a short review. Who new that Jack Frost could be so hot? I expected to come across a story of a chilled Jack Frost that would have been cold both physically and emotionally, but that isn’t what I got. And it made me smile. Jack Frost is a sweet heart, or yeah and he’s a sexy tall man with crystal blue eyes. *Swoon. The story starts off in the middle of the story, so to speak. Jack and Kate have a past and she can no longer run from it. Surprisingly there was no sexual content described, but that doesn’t mean there was a lack of heat.

Good:

Jack—not the typical Jack we’re use to

Kate—A woman torn, but determined to find out where she belongs

Bad:

I don’t know Kate’s background information slipped by me, but there wasn’t a lot of info about her life before Jack and what happened with her family.

Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):

Overall this read was short and sweet. I never had to re-read something. I was never really confused about anything other than what happened in the last seven years with Kate and her family. There was heat, and pretty good story-line and new kind of Jack Frost. Wendy Sparrow sure knows how to make your winter warm with her quick romance.

Viewer Type Recommendation:

If you love a short and sweet supernatural romance than this is for you.

If you liked this you'll probably love:
