Summary taken from Goodreads:

WORST. JOB. EVER.

Kate O'Hara can't wait until this temp assignment is over. The woman who hired her is a psychotic pageant queen, her coworkers are convicts-turned-clerks, and it's so boringly corporate it makes her skin crawl. Even her sexy-as-sin boss, famed billionaire Thomas Kestrel, isn't enticement enough to keep her there. Once she makes enough to pay off her bills, she's out. Or so she thinks...

WHAT THE HELL?

Next thing she knows, she's accidentally signed over her soul. Literally. And she's discovered Thomas's real mission: to kill thirteen bad guys in one year, in order to get his — now his and Kate’s — souls back.

IT'S NOT JUST A JOB. IT'S A MISADVENTURE.

From learning to boost the morale of some paper-pushing demons to navigating her way through blood-red tape, Kate has to work closely with her super-hot supervisor and get her flaky act together, before somebody clocks her out — permanently!

Review:

I went into this book expecting the typical adult romance that would be heavily focused on the sexual aspect of the novel and have a demanding and potentially over powering male lead. And…I got something so different I wanted to jump and click my heels together. I got a fantastic story that was filled with romance, but at the right times and contained just the right amount to hold my attention. I loved the characters that are both bold, sassy, sarcastic, and just downright funny. I love the rich billionaire who is extremely sexy, but doesn’t necessarily flaunt it. He has other things on his mind. Like getting his soul back. And damn how the story is pretty awesome. I laughed and I worried while reading this. I worried about the characters and in some crazy way loved every single minute of the worrying. And to top everything off the sexual aspect didn’t really happen until near the end of the book, which can only mean that the story line was one heck of a ride that it kept me reading all the way through! I’m use to reading adult books that are filled with sex, but this one had the story line as the big guns, and the passion and romance as the backup. I loved reading this book and I cannot wait to read the second in the series!

Good:

Kate—your typical hate large-corporations-American, but she also knows the importance of a pay-check. She is stubborn, and good at heart.

Thomas—A genius and made millions as a child, he sacrifices everything for the woman he loves only to get burned. Now, he is determined to get his souls back. He is a nice guy trying to do what’s right.

Bad:

Nothing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):

Overall I was surprised by this read. It was not what I expected and I was happy. It was easy to read and follow, and was filled with humour and romance at all the right moments. There was suspense, romance, comedy,  and drama all rolled into one. I loved the characters including ‘Slim’ the good bad guy. Cathy Yardley swept me off my feet then curled my toes with her make me fuzzy on the inside novel Temping Is Hell. I plan on getting the second good in the series as soon as its available.
