Rating:

Reason chosen:

I was asked to review the book. I’ve read the first and it was good.

Summary taken from Goodreads:

Jace, Ash, and Gabe: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They’re accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Jace, it’s a woman whose allure takes him completely by surprise...

Jace Crestwell, Ash McIntyre, and Gabe Hamilton have been best friends and successful business partners for years. They’re powerful, they’re imposing, they’re irresistibly sexy, and Jace and Ash share everything—including their women.

When they meet Bethany, Jace begins to feel things he’s never experienced before: jealousy, and a powerful obsession that threatens him, overwhelms him—and excites him beyond control.

Jace isn’t sharing Bethany—with anyone. He’s determined to be the only man in her life, and it’s jeopardizing a lifelong friendship with Ash. Bethany will be his and his alone. Even if it means turning his back on his best friend.

Review:

Oh Jace. My favourite of the three so far. I don’t know if it’s because the previous book was about his sister, or just because it’s Jace. Some of this is a little outside my comfort zone, but still it was a hot and enjoyable read. I started to get frustrated with Jace throughout the novel, but I could never fully give up on him. And, Bethany…well she’s a different type of girl. With a HUGE history of her own she brings something different to the story. Although some of it is a little more than I’m use to I did enjoy reading about this story, and am waiting the story about Ash.

Good:

Bethany—A different kind of heroine. She’s had a lot of speed-bumps in her life, but overall I liked her.

Jace—Sometimes he really got under my skin, but then he kind of go under my skin in a good way.

Bad:

Sometimes I found the adult aspect to overrun the story-line, and some of the adult content was a little out of my comfort zone

Overall (Writing style, story line, and general):

Overall, I’ll still admit that it was a good book. I like the story line and enjoyed the characters and their dilemma. Sometimes it was a little much for me, and I may have skipped over some intense parts, but it’s not anything that had me shying away from the book and the series complete. It was steamy and emotional, and left me with a smile. Here’s to book number three. Cheers.
